How is the countdown calculated?

We count whole calendar days from today (in your selected timezone) to the target date, then break that into weeks and months. Because it's a calendar count, daylight-saving changes don't affect the number of days.

Which holidays are built in?

Common fixed-date holidays such as New Year's Day, Valentine's Day, Halloween, Christmas and New Year's Eve. For anything else, choose "Custom date" and pick any day.

Does it always count to the next occurrence?

For built-in holidays, yes — if this year's date has passed, the countdown automatically targets next year's. For a custom date, it counts to the exact date you chose, and tells you if that date is already in the past.

Can I share a countdown?

Yes. Use "Copy link" to share a web address that reopens the same countdown for anyone, with no account needed.
